Honda Acty — Steering Wheel
Aftermarket steering wheel hub adapters, quick-release kits, and compatible wheels.
Overview
The OEM Acty steering wheel is compact and functional, but many owners opt for a smaller aftermarket wheel for improved feel, aesthetics, or ergonomics. Replacing the steering wheel requires a boss hub adapter that matches the Acty's column spline pattern. An optional quick-release hub allows the wheel to be removed and reinstalled without tools, which is popular for trucks used for events or where security is a concern.
Hub Adapter
The NRG SRK-190H is the community-established hub adapter for the Honda Acty. It mounts to the OEM steering column spline and provides a standard 6-bolt NRG bolt pattern for attaching a quick-release or direct-mount aftermarket wheel.

Quick-Release Hub
A quick-release hub sits between the boss adapter and the steering wheel. It allows the wheel to be removed with a simple pull-and-twist motion. This is popular for cab-over trucks like the Acty where entry and exit are easier with the wheel out of the way, and for owners who want to prevent joyriding.

Steering Wheels
Any wheel with a standard 6-bolt NRG or Momo pattern will fit once the hub adapter and optional quick-release are in place. Smaller diameter wheels (280–320 mm) are common on kei trucks — the short, upright seating position means a smaller wheel is proportionally correct and improves visibility over the rim.
| Brand | Part Number | Notes / Info |
|---|---|---|
| Momo | Team 300mm | Popular choice — 300 mm flat style |
| NRG | ST-010BK | 320 mm sport wheel — deep dish |
| Personal | Neo Grinta 330mm | Italian leather rim — comfortable grip |
Installation Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait at least 5 minutes before working near the steering column. Even without an airbag, this prevents any accidental short or horn activation.
- Remove the center horn button or horn pad from the OEM wheel — typically two screws on the back of the wheel or a pry-off cap.
- Mark the center position of the steering wheel relative to the column before removal — a small piece of tape or a paint marker line across the spline helps ensure the new wheel is installed straight.
- Remove the steering column nut. The OEM nut is typically 24 mm. A steering wheel puller is recommended — do not strike the wheel or column to force it off.
- Thread the horn wire through the hub adapter before mounting it. Install the hub adapter on the column spline, aligned to the center mark. Torque the center nut.
- If using a quick-release, attach it to the hub adapter per the product instructions. Connect the horn wire to the quick-release contacts.
- Attach the steering wheel to the quick-release or hub adapter. Reconnect the battery and test the horn.
